Joe Biden's HHS Orders Employees To Obey Prefered Pronoun Mandate
If you work for Biden’s Department of Health and Human Services you must deny biological reality.
Biden’s HHS imposed a new transgender pronoun mandate this month with guidance that instructs employees to affirm any co-worker’s self-proclaimed gender identity and preferred pronouns.
“All employees should be addressed by the names and pronouns they use to describe themselves,” the policy reads. “This practice also creates an inclusive work environment where all applicants and employees are treated with dignity. The isolated and inadvertent use of an incorrect name or pronoun will generally not constitute unlawful harassment. However, as [the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission] explained, intentional and repeated use of an incorrect name or pronoun could, in certain circumstances, contribute to an unlawful hostile work environment.”
By being "inclusive" they are actually being "exclusive" to religious people. We definitely have a right to religion, but I am not too sure about a right to a "preferred pronoun."
In a YouTube video linked in the email, HHS Deputy Secretary Andrea Palm said the policy ensures “that our colleagues are able to show up every day as their whole selves,” according to Catholic News Agency.
What does that even mean? Were they showing up as their "half" selves before? What about religious people who believe there are only two genders? Are they not allowed to show up as their "whole" selves?
“I want to say clearly to every one of you: Who you are and who you know yourself to be is valid,” Palm added. “We want you to be your authentic self every day, regardless of your gender identity, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, religion, or disability status.”
The policy does not mention the First Amendment or religious accommodation, according to Roger Severino, former director of HHS Office for Civil Rights.
It is unclear what will happen to employees who have religious objections to transgender ideology from the policy. But Severino said that this likely means you could be fired for not using a person’s preferred pronouns
“All supervisors and managers are responsible for helping to ensure it is fully implemented across all [operating divisions] and [staff divisions],” HHS Assistant Secretary for Health Admiral Rachel Levine, who is “an out and proud transgender woman,” said.
Nothing screams health quite like a clinically overweight drag queen playing dress up in a Navy admiral's suit.
But I guess what else should we expect when the inmates are running the asylum?
Freedom of speech definitely prohibits the government from telling people what they must say. This means that compelled is unconstitutional speech.
Some may even argue that compelled speech is actually the greatest transgression of free speech.
Not only does this violate freedom of speech, but this also violates religious liberty.
There are few restrictions to the First Amendment. Hurting someone's feelings was never one of them.
It’s not compassionate to lie to people who truly are confused about their bodies. To use their “preferred pronouns” is probably the cruelest thing you can do. Progressivism is not compassion.
There is also no such thing as your “preferred” truth. There is only the truth.
Voltaire once said, “Anyone who can make you believe absurdities can make you commit atrocities.”
Those who deny the biological differences between the sexes deny the existence of objective reality. This subsequently makes the “truth” decided by whatever those in power declare it to be.
