Good Guy With a Gun Shatters the Left's Anti-Gun, Anti-NRA Narrative
We always love a good guy with a gun story, but this one is special in its own right. Mostly because it busts the current leftist narrative faster than a feminist waist busts a good pair of jeans.
Dave Thomas is a man who used his AR-15 to stop a stabbing. We wrote about him here: Illinois Man with AR-15 Stops Man with Knife. Sorry, Leftists. Now there's a new part of the story coming out -- he's also an NRA instructor. Yes, the organization which must not be named. For upon its very utterance, leftists everywhere will rage straight into the earth's core. Melting anything unlucky enough to be in their path; soy, cats, blue hair dye.
I suspect this story will cause some raging.
Thomas, a gun instructor, peeked out the door and saw blood in the hallway. He went to his bedroom, where a handgun and an AR-15 assault-style rifle were lying on the bed. He picked up the rifle. "I teach people how to defend themselves, and it was just a reaction to grab the AR-15," he said.
A sheriff's spokesman credited Thomas with preventing the situation from getting worse, and said the investigation showed he'd done nothing criminal. "He did in the moment what he thought was going to de-escalate this situation and stop any further violence or loss of life and for that he is to be praised," Harl said.
Thomas has a valid firearm owner's identification card and a concealed carry permit, the sheriff's office said. Thomas said he used to train with police. His current job includes teaching [NRA] concealed carry classes, and he also works private security.
Cover your ears, gun control activists. Our hero here is also a huge fan of the AR-15.
Thomas believes if he'd grabbed the smaller gun, the threat would have been less effective and he would have ended up shooting the man. "I think this is a perfect example of why... every single law-abiding citizen should have an AR-15," Thomas said, adding that they should have proper training.
As a gun owner and NRA deviant, you won't be hearing much about Dave's story from the mainstream media. They're too busy heralding 16-year-olds as political "heroes" who will fix all the bad things to have happened in the entire history of ever. Meanwhile the mantra goes: anybody who owns a weapon with AR in the name is scary and unworthy of gun rights.
Boom goes that narrative. This guy just squatted over it and left a present. Enjoy, leftists.
