Watch: King George Strait Pays Tribute to First Responders in Powerful 'Weight of the Badge' Video
As you grow up, you realize how many lies you were taught in school. One of the most egregious was that America doesn't have a king. We do. His name is George Strait. Two years ago, King George wrote a salute to the sacrifices our brave first responders make every day called "Weight of the Badge." He just released the video today. Grab a tissue. I'll meet you at the other end of this. (h/t Whiskey Riff)
George Strait - The Weight Of The Badge (Official Music Video)youtu.be
"He swore that oath to protect and serve,
Pours his heart and soul into both those words,
Lays his life on the line,
And the line he walks is razor-fine,
Tempered strength is always tough,
But he ain't gonna buckle under the weight of the badge."
Play this in the background of the massive protest against Joe Biden and Bill DeBlasio's mandates forcing our first responders out of jobs.
There has been a ton of anti-police rhetoric in the news ever since the first liberal uttered the words "defund the police." The hatred and disrespect and ignorance of what these brave men and women go through every day are appalling. More and more have turned to social media to get the emotions out. Or just broken down in the middle of the street.
Not to take ANYTHING away from our brave firefighters, too. They'll run into burning buildings to save everyone they can. They'll even do it without asking for proof of your Fauci Ouchie.
Cheers to all who carry the weight of the badge. And cheers to King George.
