Bill Gates has taken three steps back on his stance on climate change. Could it be because every prediction the left has made failed to come to fruition? Today’s show takes a look.
According to the left, it was inevitable that humanity would cease to exist if the government didn't start taxing its citizens into oblivion. But if that were true, why is it not true?
According to CBS:
For decades, Bill Gates has warned of climate disaster — but his tone meaningfully shifted Tuesday as the billionaire Microsoft co-founder cautioned against taking a "doomsday view" on the planet's future.
“Glad we dodged that bullet after the billions of dollars spent,” Crowder said.
In a memo posted online, Gates wrote that while climate change is still a major problem that needs to be solved, "People will be able to live and thrive on Earth for the foreseeable future." Gates, who has invested billions developing green technologies to cut greenhouse gases, says doomsday climate scenarios over-emphasize cutting emissions while "diverting resources from the most effective things we should be doing to improve life in a warming world."
Crowder has called out the left for their stance on Climate Change, arguing many times in the past that the West will make third-world countries worse off with their demands to enter back into the Stone Age.
"He's not a legendary philanthropist. He's an evil, evil person," Crowder said. "He's pushing an anti-God, anti-human race agenda."
Before this stance, Gates claimed Climate Change would be catastrophic for humanity and that the emissions and rise in temperatures were the key threat, going as far as demanding we get to zero emissions.
In an interview with CBS News' Norah O'Donnell in 2021, he warned: "If we don't reduce emissions, then the death toll would be even worse near the equator, and the unrest would be global in nature." He added, "You've got to start work now to avoid those terrible consequences much later."
He no longer claims that to be the case.
"This information was available and it was being suppressed, and now Bill Gates acknowledges it was true," Crowder. "If we trusted the experts, we would have spent more than the world's GDP to get to zero. If Bill Gates had his way, it would have destroyed the world and thrust us into darkness.”
