New Gallup Poll Shocker: Republicans have much more pride in America than Democrats do

It’s hardly shocking that the left has increasingly positioned itself as the anti-American party, so we probably didn’t need a poll to confirm that over 60% of Republicans say they’re proud to be American, while fewer than 40% of Democrats feel the same.\

Again, if you are surprised by this, then you are not paying attention.
According to Fox News:
The Gallup report shows that a record-low number of U.S. adults expressed that they are "extremely" or "very" proud to be an American. Only 41% of adults say they are extremely proud to be an American, while 17% are very proud to be an American, a nine-point drop from last year.
This means that 58% of Americans say they are either “extremely” or “very” proud to be American. While that’s not the highest level ever recorded, it’s still nearly 60%—a number far greater than what the media often suggests.
The data indicate a plummeting sense of pride in America over the past decade. Furthermore, the report explained further that there is a 56-point gap between Republicans (92% extremely or very proud) and Democrats (36%).
While I don’t like that there’s a “plummeting sense of pride in America,” it’s no surprise that over 90% of Republicans say they’re proud of this country, while less than 40% of Democrats feel the same. It raises an important question: if they dislike this country so much, what exactly are the policies they support meant to achieve? Ideally, we’d hope their goal is to improve the nation, but when it’s all done in the name of “progress,” I’m not so sure. Either way, if this statistic surprises you, you haven’t been paying attention.
