In the wake of the Parkland shooting, the state of Florida passed a "red flag" gun control law. Basically, if the fuzz thinks you're a potential mass-shooting douchelord, they can swipe your gats before you go postal.

There's just one problem with the law. The po-po are already swiping innocent people's blasters :

Although the laws are intended to keep deadly weapons out of the hands of dangerous people, some feel the Risk Protection Act violates citizens’ rights.

“I think we’re doing this because it makes us feel safer,” attorney Kendra Parris said. “It violates the constitution."

Parris, who represents some citizens targeted by the risk protection orders, said the law is written so vaguely that it is impacting people who are not really a threat to anyone.

“These are individuals who are often exercising their First Amendment rights online, who are protecting constitutionally protected speech online,” Parris told WFTS. “Maybe it was odious, maybe people didn’t like it, but they were hit with a risk protection order because of it.”

Under this new law, if you tell your buddy on Facebook you're going to give him a royal ass-kicking. Or you read the latest screed from Buzzfeed and comment "just shoot me." There's a good chance the po-po might beat down your door and make you fork over your constitutionally-protected boomsticks.

These are the concerns people have every time the left passes a new gun control law. Decent people are in the crossfire between the gun-grabbing leftists and the legit loony toons. Some might even say that's by design.

The last time I checked, there's no addendum to the Second Amendment which says "the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed. Unless, of course, they start making 'problematic' remarks on the Twitter. In which case, red flag 'em and grab 'em all."

The Second Amendment means what it says. We the people get guns. Also due process. If they wish to confiscate our gats, they first need to prove we pose an actual threat to others. End of story.
