Watch: Dan Bongino and Kash Patel claim Epstein actually killed himself and we have A LOT of questions
Patel and Bongino said in an interview that Epstein did kill himself. Today’s show breaks down why we disagree.
According to The Daily Beast
Two of President Donald Trump‘s appointees to lead the Federal Bureau of Investigation firmly stated on Sunday that Jeffrey Epstein died by suicide, causing uproar from MAGA supporters on social media.
FBI director Kash Patel and deputy director Dan Bongino said in no uncertain terms on Fox News’ Sunday Morning Futures that the convicted pedophile took his own life as he was awaiting trial in 2019.
"Intellectual honesty is important. People will change their minds. You cant go and get pissed off because people changed their position," Gerald A said. "You should not just go and expect people to change their position if no new information has been made available."
When asked by host Maria Bartiromo about Epstein’s death, Patel replied that people “have a right to their opinion,” but that the evidence points toward suicide.
“They have a right to their opinion, but as someone who has worked as a public defender, as a prosecutor, who’s been in that prison system, who has been in the Metropolitan Detention Center, who’s been in segregated housing, you know a suicide when you see one, and that’s what that was,” Patel said.
“He killed himself, Bongino said, backing Patel up. “I’ve seen the whole file. He killed himself.”
"[Dan] knows how we felt because he felt the same way. [He] understood the complaints from people in their audience that this could not possibly be a suicide," Gerald A said.
While past statements prove Dan was at least skeptical about the claims, he had never officially said that Epstein did not kill himself.
"When you just say, 'Trust me, I’ve seen the file'—no, I’m sorry. He knows why we don’t trust these institutions," Gerald A. said. “He said he’s seen the entire file, so release it. What’s the point of holding it back now?”
If the last thing these people want is more conspiracy theories, then they should release more information, such as a timeline or photos.
"Let us understand what you have seen so that conspiracy theories go away completely and we can see if it's true," Gerald A said. "I want people to have more faith in their institutions, not just blind faith and ‘trust me.’”
