WATCH: Florida Watch Company Takes A Stand Against Biological Men in Women's Sports With Emotional Ad
A luxury watch brand in Florida has taken a stand against biological males competing in women's sports. As I type that out, it's still hard to believe it's a point of controversy in 2023. The absolute state of society.
Egard Watch Company tweeted out that they are a "a company that believes in the truth" along with an ad called "Erased" that opposes men dominating women's sports.
\u201c#erased Our ad response to woke corporate America. We are a company that believes in truth. \n\n@elonmusk @TuckerCarlson @libsoftiktok @benshapiro @MattWalshBlog @stillgray @piersmorgan @alx @JackPosobiec @Malcolm_fleX48 @carolinecwilder @OliLondonTV @RealSaavedra @josh_hammer\u201d— Egard Watch Company (@Egard Watch Company) 1681515775
The ad focuses on a young female track athlete with a childhood dream to be the fastest runner in the world.
"I got this little nugget of an idea from my dad. He used to watch me run and say, 'Ain't no woman alive that can beat you,' and I believed him."
The ad follows this girl as she grows up and undergoes years of training with her dad by her side.
"He made me feel invincible. It wasn't easy. I trained hard, harder than anyone else I know. But I was made for this, an unstoppable force. A life dedicated to perfection."
The camera then pans to a clearly male athlete lining up against this young girl as the voiceover says, "But even perfection wouldn't be enough."
The ad then goes through clips and headlines of biological males dominating women's sports - like CeCe Telfer, Lia Thomas, and Fallon Fox. Telfer won an NCAA title in track for the women after competing as a man for years. Thomas of course won an NCAA title and broke several women's swimming records. And Fox fractured a woman's orbital bone during an MMA fight.
I still don't understand why ads have absolutely nothing to do with the products they're selling anymore. But this one I agree with, so I'm okay with it. Yes, I am aware that makes me a hypocrite. No, I do not care.
