You gotta hand it to the The View broads. The most trusted names in "news" for low-information suburbanites are still all in on the SCHMOVID lockdown narrative. Yes, even knowing what we know now about shutting down schools. Yes, even though it's been 1,427 + 15 days to flatten the curve. Dr. Phil gave them all a harsh dose of reality on Monday's show.

Oprah's former favorite doctor (he's been way too based lately, so I'm guessing he is on the outs) has a new book, "We've Got Issues: How You Can Stand Strong for America's Soul and Sanity." In it, he criticizes the school lockdowns during SCMOVID (among other things). Doc was asked what he meant when he said, "You aren't the only voice in your kid's ear, so you need to be the BEST voice." SCHMOVID aside, this part is very important:

Well, think about it, in like 08, 09, smartphones came on. And kids stopped living their lives and started watching people live their lives. And so we saw the biggest spike and the highest levels of depression, anxiety, loneliness and suicidality since records have ever been kept. And it’s just continued on and on and on.

He segued to the lockdowns and the effect those had on kids, where Whoopi and Ana Navarro started yakking about trusting the science and how it was worth the risk to "protect" kids. Nope.

“I’m saying [kids were] the safest group. They were the least vulnerable group, and they suffered and will suffer more from the mismanagement of COVID than they will from the exposure to COIVD. That’s not an opinion — that’s a fact.”

What's more maddening is knowing the Biden Adminstration kept schools closed NOT because of "the science" but because of the politics of their benefactors in the Teachers's Unions telling them to keep schools closed. Head union thug Randi Weingarten even admitted that the lockdowns damaged students' learning, yet didn't care.

So while progressives were doing this in the name of "the science":

The results were this:

According to another study, our children lost about 35% of a normal school year’s worth of learning during the pandemic.

Children lost out on about one-third of what they would have usually learned in a normal school year, and these learning deficits arose quite early in the pandemic. Children still have not recovered the learning that they lost out on at the start of the pandemic. Also, education inequality between children from different socioeconomic backgrounds increased during the pandemic.

We need to NEVER forget what the government did, or let them off the hook. Judging by the reaction from the audience to Dr. Phil putting everyone in their place, more and more Americans are waking up.
