MSNBC Correspondent Warns Democrats Are Losing Latinos
Lefties are constantly pandering to Latinos. They show off their Español skills every chance they can get. Pose for photos while noshing on some huevos rancheros. Make promises to open up the border so the Latinos' illegal amigos can cross over with no problemos.
Well, it looks like all that butt-kissing may not pay off the way the left hoped. They're in danger of losing Latinos to the strong economy.
See for yourself:
On Friday night, MSNBC national political correspondent Steve Kornacki gave Democrats a warning ahead of the 2018 midterms.
During the Overtime segment on Real Time, Kornacki was asked when should Democrats address “how badly they are polling with Latinos.”
“If there’s one worry area for Democrats in terms of November, that’s it right there,” Kornacki responded. “And I think one of the issues there is it’s almost fundamental.”
Kornacki explained to the panel how often in the media and in politics, there’s a generalization that all Latinos care about is immigration and expect Democrats to get the “lion’s share” of the Latino vote.” And he pointed to a recent poll that showed that the top issue among Latino voters was the economy, not immigration.
Yep, it's hard to deny Trump is doing good a job. Lefties can wave the Mexican flag and profess their love for taco trucks all they want. Those Latinos are too busy counting their money to take notice.
The left was so busy thinking up cringeworthy ways to pander to minorities for their votes. Trying to figure which brand of hot sauce would best endear Hillary to the black folk. Refining their accent to pronounce "taqueria" perfectly. Yet, they failed to realize those minorities' primary concerns are the same as everyone else's. Chief among those concerns, having an adequate supply of greenbacks.
This is the disconnect of the left at play here. They think they can pay lip service to their pet groups with focus-grouped cultural references and their vote will be locked up. Alas, they actually have to deliver on their promises of a better life. That's a pretty tall order when we're talking about the left.
