Crowder X Dave Smith: On Israel, Impeaching Trump, and America First

Steven Crowder and Smith debated Trump’s presidency and the impact impeachment could have on this country.
Smith recently called for the impeachment of Donald Trump after Israel’s strike on Iranian nuclear sites. While Crowder disagreed with Trump’s actions at the time, he opposed calling for impeachment. He argued that Trump is the most anti-war president in our lifetimes, and the alternative could be someone politically aligned with Gavin Newsom.
"The real-world fallout of that is far worse for the United States and the Keep America movement," Crowder said.
While Dave agreed that a leftist in office would be far worse than Trump, he argued that calling for impeachment could serve as a message to the president: if he drags the U.S. into another war, he could lose a significant portion of his supporters. “This is the only incentive politicians respond to,” Dave added.
Crowder pointed to Trump’s track record on Iran, saying he has consistently stated that Iran will not acquire nuclear weapons. “He was very consistent about that,” Crowder said. Dave countered that point, noting that Trump often bragged about not starting new wars and ending existing ones.
"There is a major difference between saying Iran won't get nukes, which can mean anything, and saying 'I will launch a war against Iran if they enrich up to 60 percent' while still being willing to negotiate," Dave said. "We are more likely now to see Iran pursue a nuclear weapon than if negotiations had continued. You try diplomacy as much as you can; war should always be the last option."
Crowder and Dave also disagreed on Trump’s overall diplomatic efforts. While both acknowledged his role in ending several conflicts, Dave criticized Trump for not fully addressing the ongoing wars America has been directly involved in. He also cited Trump’s failure to “drain the swamp,” support for aggressive wars, and overspending, emphasizing the importance of holding leaders accountable.
Crowder, on the other hand, argued that it’s important not to overlook Trump’s accomplishments, both culturally and politically.
