Watch: Dan Crenshaw apologizes for calling conservatives terrorists, here's what the 'terrorists' won
The long national nightmare of our elected officials having to vote for three days is finally over. Kevin McCarthy ascended to the role he and supporters believe he was always entitled to. In the debate, some things were said. Rep. Dan Crenshaw, a Republican, called the Republicans who disagreed with him "terrorists."
He's sorry for doing so.
Rep. Dan Crenshaw (R-TX) walks back his comments that Never-Kevin Republicans were "terrorists":
"Things get heated and things get said ... To the extent that I have colleagues that were offended by it, I sincerely apologize to them ... It's clearly a turn of phrase." pic.twitter.com/yKGHYeQ0Aq

To the extent that I have colleagues that were offended by it, I sincerely apologize to them ... It's clearly a turn of phrase.
It's clearly a turn of phrase...that leftists and the media (but I repeat myself) use against anyone on the right who disagrees with them. Crenshaw, McCsrthy, Matt Gaetz are all viewed as the same. It's not about having "thick skin" as much as not adopting Democrat rhetoric in attacking colleagues over what amounted to a rules debate.
Especially when, as self-professed "mover and shaker" Wade Scotts points out, you see what the "terrorists" won.

- Any member can call for a motion to vacate the speaker’s chair. This is to keep the Speaker honest.
- A McCarthy-aligned super PAC agreed to not play in open Republican primaries in safe seats
- Votes on a balanced budget amendment, congressional term limits, and border security
- Raise the nation’s debt ceiling must be paired with spending cuts.
- No more omnibus bills.
Also 72--hours to read bills, a return to regular order to allow debates on those bills, and a rule that each bill could only be one-subject. All things that conservatives should be celebrating.
Had there been a way to achieve these goals other than how they were achieved, as Crenshaw implied on CNN we could have, that was never made clear during any of the first thirteen votes before the deal was cut. Explaining how might have been a better use of time than name-calling.
