Lefties like to claim us gun owners are a bunch of paranoid doomsday preppers. Because some of us sometimes voice our concern the government might turn tyrannical. Yep, we're out of our Reynolds Wrap-covered gourds for thinking such things. Except the far-left dicklord you're about to meet just confirmed how right we are. In the most bombastic way.

A Democratic congressman has proposed outlawing “military-style semiautomatic assault weapons” and forcing existing owners to sell their weapons or face prosecution, a major departure from prior gun control proposals that typically exempt existing firearms.

In a USA Today op-ed entitled “Ban assault weapons, buy them back, go after resisters,” Rep. Eric Swalwell, D-Calif., argued Thursday that prior proposals to ban assault weapons “would leave millions of assault weapons in our communities for decades to come.”

Remember though guys, nobody is coming for your boomsticks. So just substitute your Super Male Vitality with a chill pill and relax.

Yeah, if you think the anti-gun douchebaggery ends there, boy are you in for a shocker. This guy took to the Twitters to say "hell no" to Swalwell:

Swalwell felt the need to respond. He went straight to DEFCON 1. That wasn't a metaphor.

Yep, I had to read that about four times to make sure my eyes weren't deceiving me. A US congressman proposing a good nuking of gun owners should they fail to fork over their lead-slingers. Naturally, the other guy said "what the f**k," so Eric kept going:

Here's the best part of all:

Democratic Rep. Eric Swalwell plans to run for president in 2020, according to a person close to the California congressman who is familiar with his plans.

“He’s definitely running,” the source said.

Something tells me if people see this nuking tweet, they're gonna want to keep Congressman Lego-Hair far, far away from the nuclear football. Yeah, I know that was an ad-hominem insult. Though, I think it's safe to go personal when thermonuclear devices enter the picture.

The left tells us we're paranoid for thinking tyranny might someday become a thing. Then, this monumental asshat suggests lobbing Minuteman missles at unruly citizens. Yeah, his threats of nuking are just making me clutch this here AR-15 even tighter.

Was Swalwell just joking about the nukes? Doesn't matter. Because even if he thinks gun confiscation is all fun and games, we still have a problem.

The threat to the Second Amendment is real, folks. The left is coming for your gats and they're willing to go to any lengths to take them. They claim the Second Amendment is outdated, but their ruthlessness proves it's more relevant than ever.
