The left really needs to learn to take a joke. Running for a third term as POTUS is not a thing, and would not be what you would call “constitutional.” This is why it goes without saying that any statement from Trump not ruling out a third term should be taken as nothing greater than sarcastic humor. But the only problem with that is that we currently live in a time where the media so desperately wants to portray Trump as King. So they have decided to pretend this joke is not a joke and treat it as a news story because they are that pathetic.

According to CNN, "We should view it as a threat. There are patterns that are established, and we should look at them." They added that when Trump “threatens that there are workarounds, there are all sorts of nightmare scenarios that we can imagine.” However, it’s unclear what “workarounds” there even are, considering they named none, but that is likely because there aren't any.

What do they even get out of this type of reporting? Are they hopeful that liberal boomers will watch it and be genuinely concerned that Trump may truly try and run for a third term? Because if so, then it’s either the case that only the most naive leftists in existence watch CNN or that they have created a culture of fear among their viewers. And while both may be true, they are also equally reprehensible for the network to do.

It’s clear that they don't report things like this because they intend to get to the truth, as they are trying to mislead the public. This shows exactly why their ratings are extremely low and how the media got as irrelevant as they now are. And the fact that they presented this in a serious manner is a scandal in itself, but sadly, unsurprising.

That being said, Trump 2028 sounds better and better every day.
