Clay Travis Points Out Media Hypocrisy on Visiting the White House
There's a lot of support in the media for the Philadelphia Eagles not visiting the Trump White House. But as Clay Travis points out (see HERO: Clay Travis on CNN Says “I believe in the First Amendment and Boobs.” Yes, Really! and Clay Travis of “In Boobs we Trust” Nails ESPN for Clear Leftist Bias), the media sung a different tune when players didn't want to visit the Obama White House.
Shocking, I know.
Six years ago Boston Bruin Tim Thomas decided not to go to Obama White House & was crushed by @espn. Read & share: https://t.co/k4ipKM0oXA— Clay Travis (@Clay Travis)1528228363.0

There were even accusations of Tom Brady being a racist when he "snubbed" Obama. Even though he snubbed Trump in 2017, too.
So we're clear, I couldn't give a damn who visits the White House. Ever. I don't care what sports thing they won. Plus with the Eagles, Trump did what Trump does. Acted like a big baby and said a bunch of things that weren't true. Just so his fanbois can scream "ZOMG UR OWNING THE LIBRULS!!!!!!" Also, if you're going to make a big deal about singing patriotic songs, learn the lyrics yourself. Ok? Ok.
But the media hypocrisy here reminds even us Trump agnostics what the right is really up against. If a player doesn't want to visit a Democrat White House, it's the player's fault. They should set their politics aside and respect the office. If a player doesn't want to visit a Republican White House - yes, even Donald Trump - then it's the president's fault. If you disagree, you're part of the problem. This isn't just from far left clickbait sites like Huffington Post or whatever sadist writes Samantha Bee's monologues. It's from alleged mainstream outlets like Sports Illustrated and ESPN.
Yes, Trump can be a jerk. But the media isn't any better.
