UPDATE: Ok, I'm a chucklehead. Not only was this a "social experiment," it was one from a year and a half ago. But Chucky and i both "anticipated a bit more from straphangers" so at least there's that.

It's becoming an all too common occurrence. Women are attacked in liberal cities while the bystanders around her do nothing. We return once again to the New York City subways, where crime and crazy people are aplenty. This video has a twist, though. The assailant is dressed as Chucky.

Yes, from the movies. A little person dressed up as Chucky and went on the attack.

It's a viral video, so usual disclaimers. Allow for missing context and for things to be somewhat hoaxy. Because, I'll be honest, dressing up a little person as Chucky just to see how people react sounds like something I would do in college. I had a friend who wanted to hire a few to wear giant sombreros, put nachos and salsa on top of the hats, and have them walking around as moving end tables at a party. But that's not important right now.

What's not a hoax is how people reacted. You saw the one dude sitting next to the woman get up and walk away. Surprising to no one, that guy was wearing still wearing a mask and full-face visor. Then when the camera rolled around, other people had their cameras out.

It wasn't until the woman got away and Chucky chased after her that one person grabbed Chucky by the hair and pulled him down. That's where the camera shuts off. One can only hope it was so the cameraman had both hands free to hold the dude down.
