Chuck Schumer holds presser to mock Trump's bad polling, gets smacked with the fact that his approval is MUCH lower
I believe it was Kierkegaard, or maybe it was Ringo Starr, who said, "Instant karma's gonna get you." Chuck Schumer learned this lesson firsthand in hilarious fashion.
The Democrat "Leader" held a press conference to make the claim Donald Trump has the lowest approval of any other president after their first 100 Days. Let's say, for sake of argument, this is true. In the reality that Chuck Schumer lives in, where a random collection of data and statistics is the lone arbiter of success, Donald Trump's low approval is proof that his presidency isn't going well and that he should just give up and do the exact opposite of everything he is doing.
Again, I'm talking about Chuck Schumer's reality which is the world that his press conference took place in yesterday. The lower your poll numbers, the harder you suck, no questions asked. Okay? Okay.
Journalismer: There's a poll out today that has your approval rating lower than any other Congressional leader at 17 percent.
Chuckles: Polls come and go.
Same Presser:
Schumer: "Trump has the lowest 100 day approval rating since they started polling."
2 Minutes later.
Manu Raju: "There's a poll out today that has your approval rating lower than any other Congressional leader at 17 percent."
Schumer: "Polls come and go." pic.twitter.com/aMNc0Su667

Let's set aside that Schumer is right about polls coming and going. All they are is a snapshot of that current moment in time. They also measure little more than how someone answered a very specific question, based on how it was very specifically worded. It doesn't measure knowledge of an issue, how much you have actually thought about it, or if you would have even thought about it at all had not a pollster asked you about it.
Let's set that aside, as evident from the record time it took Schumer changed his mind about the significance of polls, he is not going to hold a press conference on Trump's polling numbers once Trump's agenda has had the opportunity to cook for more than 100 days and Americans have the opportunity to reap the benefits.
My favorite part about this video is that, while the question completely undermined Schumer's excuse for being there, the reporter asked from the left on behalf of people who want to see Schumer replaced with someone like social media influencer Rep. AOC. I don't even think the reporter realized when he asked he was not only negating the attack on Trump, he was defending the Trump message to ignore the polls.
A+ effort from all involved!
