JUST IN: CBS reporter gets berated by a furious anti-ICE protester who thinks she is Fox News after she said she couldn't show footage of the crowds because of atrocious signs.
Reporter: There are some signs here that we cannot show on TV...

If an outlet feels the need to make sure a news reporter “is okay” simply for reporting on signs affiliated with a movement, that tells you everything you need to know about what those people represent.
Going on air and claiming you can’t show signs because some contain curse words is such a non-issue that most people wouldn’t even notice the point. But to one unknown protester in the crowd, there was no greater “lie”—or far worse offense—at that exact moment.
This segment was about “several people being arrested as protesters, police clash outside Broadview ICE facility during faith vigil,” per the CBS report. According to the segment, “Protesters clashed with police outside the Broadview ICE facility Friday morning as a group of faith leaders were holding a demonstration.”
Okay, end of story. But the fact that the protesters cared so much about how the reporter was reporting is deeply pathetic, and proof that we are not dealing with mature, rational individuals.
Maybe the reporter saw one sign with a curse word, maybe she saw five. What difference does it make? There are rules and procedures that need to be followed, and again, this is such a non-issue that it’s unclear why this article even exists.
It’s also pathetic because, if anything, the reporter almost certainly would have reported on the event in favor of the protestors. So the fact that he automatically chalked them up as a lying Fox reporter just shows how little these people even know what they are fighting for.
Did he really think viewers would listen to him and take him seriously? We are truly dealing with low-IQ individuals, and it’s comical at best.
All I have left to say is this: If you want to convince people to believe in your little movement, the least you can do is respect others and not throw a tantrum the moment you suspect someone might be lying about curse words on a sign. Goodness. We are truly dealing with childish behavior with this one.
