Scott Jennings: “Let's say you voted for Cornyn. Are you really going to switch your vote to a guy who thinks there are six genders and it's immoral to eat meat because of the climate crisis? No Texan believes that other than Talarico. And no Texas Republican is going to switch… pic.twitter.com/iNERODExmM

I don't vote in Texas, and never got all the John Cornyn hate. It's not like Texas has many other stellar examples of conservatism outside of rhetoric. People who do vote in Texas disagreed and voted for Ken Paxton in the primary. Now, because the establishment guy lost, we have to do this dance where we act as if Democrat James Talarico is now the frontrunner to win the U.S. Senate.
Yes. The pro-abortion, vegan, "God is non-binary" guy who is guilty about his whiteness. The streets are saying the guy could win, or the race is at least a toss-up right now. In Texas.
Please allow Scott Jennings to drop a steaming dookie all over that.
Let's say you voted for Cornyn. Are you really going to switch your vote to a guy who thinks there are six genders and it's immoral to eat meat because of the climate crisis? No Texan believes that other than Talarico. And no Texas Republican is going to switch their vote from Cornyn to a Democrat because of that.

Here's the thing. I think the right makes the mistake of tempting the wrath of the whatever from high atop the thing by saying Talafreako CAN'T win. But people need to dial back the pearl-clutching. Texas is still Texas.
The bigger narrative coming out of the Texas Primaries involves the SAVE Act. Remember, this was a runoff, and Paxton said he was willing to drop out IF the Senate passed voter ID. You know, something 80% of Americans support.
The Senate did. John Thune, the Senate Majority "leader," is powerless against the Senate parliamentarian he can replace. The Senate GOP tried nothing and was all out of ideas. So Trump endorsed Ken Paxton.
This is a message that the elected officials we send to Washington DC need to pick up on. We vote for you because you say you'll do something. You get elected, then offer nothing but excuses why you can't do what we voted for you to do, that you said you would do if you got elected. You're not expendable and can be replaced. Yes, regardless of how hard you tweet about how upset you are, no one is doing anything.
Every official needs to know they can be replaced. John Cornyn and the Senate GOP just learned that lesson the hard way.
