James Talarico had big plans for his birthday, and of course... they were pink

According to James Talarico, he celebrated his 30th birthday “with a pink scarf” around his neck. It is unclear if he means this metaphorically or literally, but it is probably safe to assume both are true.

What does he even mean by that? What was even the point of wearing a pink scarf in May in Texas? He would have turned 30 on May 17, 2019. In Round Rock, Texas, that day was pretty toasty. So again, if there was no need to wear such a fashion statement, we can only assume he did it as a political and cultural statement. It is, again, unclear what that implies, but draw your own conclusion. I will, however, say that when it is over 80 degrees and humid on a hot Texas day, the last thing a straight man would do is wear a pink scarf. Do with that information what you will.
If I did not know any better, I might say Talarico is not what you would consider a “straight cis male.” I do know better, however, so I will not be saying that.
I will also say that no straight or moral man would say this:
