News is breaking of an altercation in the Skid Row which resulted in 5 LAPD officers shooting a homeless man to death.

Anytime an innocent person loses a life, it's a tragedy. Period. The problem here is that the witch-hunt has already begun in both the media, and with uneducated pitch-fork wielding masses on Twitter. Facts be damned. Racism, Evil cops, unarmed black man!  This is the narrative.  Just look at these reactions.

Seems like the story's set in stone! Just like Mike Brown... right?

Here's the truth.... we don't know the truth yet.  I'm not creating this post to pass judgment, I'm creating this post to ask that you, don't. Not until all of the facts are in.  Some cops are bad, some cops aren't. Some homeless people are harmless and deserving of help... some are drug-addicted criminals who cause harm to others.

Here are some facts that already seem to disrupt the media's "unarmed black man shot by racist cops" narrative. Now, none of these are concrete yet... which is why opinions shouldn't be.

- The cops were overheard asking the man to 'drop the gun.' 

- The man was being arrested for assaulting another homeless man.

- One of the officers involved may have been black.

- Some witnesses say that they saw the perp punch and kick the officers before he reached for the officers' weapons.
