Bill de Blasio Has Bodyguards Remove New York Post Reporter
Having a top executive call the press fake news is the worst thing ever. But only if that top executive is Donald Trump. If that executive is New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio complaining about News Corp or the New York Post... meh.
De Blasio took a break from being terrible at his job (see 800 NYC Children Suffer Lead Poisoning Under de Blasio’s Watch and Bill de Blasio Bashes Americans’ Rights for Limiting HIS Power) to march in a parade. A reporter from The Post tried to ask him a question.
Instead of answering or even declining to answer the question, the mayor watched as two members of his NYPD security detail approached the reporter — who was wearing a police-issued press pass around his neck — with one grabbing his shoulder and leading him away from the mayor.
“Kevin, you have to leave. You can’t be here,” the plainclothes cop said.
Both bodyguards then escorted the reporter about a half-block away, where a member of the NYPD’s public-information office, Officer Brian Magoolaghan, told him, “Come on, Kevin. No stunts today.”
Mind you, this is after de Blasio appeared on CNN to claim to support a free press. Except for News Corp. Which de Blasio claims is responsible for 75% of the world's cancer. Click through to The Post's opinion editor Seth Mandel's response to de Blasio's position on the press. Plus Mandel's back and forth with CNN's Brian Stetler, who's one-third of CNN's Three Tenors of Douche. Acosta is the other two thirds.
The Mayor of New York City openly bashes a media outlet and has reporters removed.
The President of the United State openly bashes a media outlet and says mean things about them.
The media will only be upset about one of those things. Then wonder why Americans look to other news sources.
