In the United States, gun ownership is considered a right. In Great Britain, it is a privilege where ownership must be proven to be valid.

Gun ownership was heavily restricted after the Dunblane school massacre of 1996. This did not stop criminals from committing crimes. In fact, some have argued it only fueled a stabbing epidemic. This may or may not be because the problem is not the gun, but draw your own conclusions.

Nonetheless, knife crime is a serious issue in London. According to the London Assembly, “Young Londoners are disproportionately affected by serious violence, particularly knife crime. They are also more likely to use the bus.” This is why they have decided to urge buses to “work with the London Ambulance Service to install publicly accessible bleed control kits in all major bus stations.”

There was a time in history when residents and tourists were able to freely travel on public transportation without the fear of being randomly stabbed to death. One can only wonder what has happened.

It is reasonable to conclude that whatever the government is doing is not making the people safer.

According to an Oct. op ed in The Telegraph:

On Monday, an asylum seeker in Bournemouth was jailed for chasing hotel workers with a knife because he was unhappy with the free food he was being given. On Wednesday, a small-boat migrant in Derby was jailed for life for stabbing a bank customer to death.

And this is just in the past week. If we go back to the start of the month, a gang of small-boat migrants in Dorset was jailed for committing “roaming street violence” armed with machetes.

That means detaining and deporting anyone who enters the country by illegal means (whether small boat or lorry). It means no more migrant hotels. And it means telling the leaders of other Western nations, in case they haven’t noticed yet, that existing refugee treaties are no longer fit for purpose and must be scrapped. Far too many dangerous men are exploiting them, and it’s got to end.

Do you think it is just a coincidence that while the country has opened its borders to the Third World, knife crimes also seem to increase? Some people say there are no coincidences in life. If that is true, this should be a warning that open borders do nothing to uphold public safety, and, in fact, make law-abiding citizens worse off.

Next time someone on the left tries to condone open borders, remind them exactly what happened to our British allies. Progressive social experiments make everyone worse off…. Well, everyone except third-world migrants, that is.
