The left has long pushed for the brainwashing of the youth. Progressives take up positions of power in public schools and universities, with the hope of turning youngsters into non-binary, vegan Prius owners with IQs lower than a gangbanger's jeans. Education Secretary Betsy DeVos offered few details of her views on higher education during her confirmation hearings.

But on Thursday, in a speech at the Conservative Political Action Conference, she sharply criticized faculty members and accused them trying to indoctrinate students.

Here's what she said, after asking how many in the audience were college students:

"The fight against the education establishment extends to you too. The faculty, from adjunct professors to deans, tell you what to do, what to say, and more ominously, what to think. They say that if you voted for Donald Trump, you’re a threat to the university community. But the real threat is silencing the First Amendment rights of people with whom you disagree."

Boom, babies.

We've born witness to the generational brainwashing that's taken place from cradle to mom's basement, courtesy of the state education system. I've always contended one of the main problems our society faces is the false education spoon fed to children, teens, and young adults. Critical thinking simply isn't taught. Feelings, identity politics, and victim mentality are taught. Hence the meteoric popularity rise of blundering socialists like Bernie Sanders.

But it is this exact misinformation and a poorly informed public which fuels the liberal hold on our institutions and Democrat base. The more stupid is out there, the more stupid votes for Democrats.

Progressives oppose Betsy DeVos and school choice because they represent a monkey wrench, hurling straight for their sinister program. If the kiddies and their parents get to choose where they go to school, methinks it won't be to the one where gold stars take the place of grades and teachers moonlight as rioters and/or racist, would-be terrorists. School choice would be the death knell for brainwashing. It would instead create a more informed electorate. A Democrat's worst nightmare.
