When the left gets called out for their nonsense, they always seem to resort to the same insult: racism. It does not matter who is asking the question or the fact that it has nothing to do with race; if they can't answer it, they have no choice but to resort to insults. This is why Baltimore Mayor Brandon Scott accused a reporter of being racist after he questioned why his taxpayer-funded SUV cost $163,495.
You don't need to be a car enthusiast to know that the average cost of an SUV is nowhere near that price. This is why it's more than sensible to ask why so much funds were spent on a car.
According to Fox 5:
Baltimore Mayor Brandon Scott’s taxpayer-funded SUV is the most expensive executive vehicle in Maryland, outpacing every other top elected leader by tens of thousands of dollars, according to records obtained by Spotlight on Maryland.
Don't you also love how the Mayor tried to make this political? Of course, when the left has nothing to say, they resort to labeling simple questions as a right-wing attack. He does this because he cannot justify why his vehicle costs that much, and it's pathetic, as he proves he does not care how much tax dollars he wastes to ensure his vehicle is top luxury.
Public officials across Maryland are routinely assigned government vehicles for security and official travel, but records show wide disparities in how much taxpayers spend on those vehicles. Scott having the most expensive executive vehicle in the state raises questions about cost controls, oversight standards, and whether spending decisions are consistent with the fiscal pressures facing residents and local governments.
Scott’s primary vehicle, a 2025 Jeep Grand Wagoneer, cost $163,495, making it the priciest government-issued vehicle assigned to any current mayor, governor, county executive, or county commissioner/county council in the state.
Was the best excuse he could really use that the base vehicles are nearly $90,000? And the fact that he claimed the reporter would never ask the president about the price of his vehicle is just a pathetic attempt to redirect the question. Additionally, the fact that he, as a local mayor, thought he could compare himself to Trump, is deeply arrogant and proves exactly why he spent that much on a car in the first place.
He does realize he works for the people and not the other way around, right? He ought to explain himself when he wasted over $100,000 on a luxury vehicle, as if the “base model” would not have sufficed.
People like Scott are not here to represent you, as proven by the fact that he believes your hard-earned cash should go to his luxury car. And the fact that he fails to explain himself not only proves how little he cares, but how little he thinks of you. To call him a pathetic, arrogant person would be an understatement.
