On this beautiful Friday morning, I bring you yet another example of how the left is totally, 100%, not going after the kids. No way, José.

Our favorite socialist darling AOC called a parental rights bill "fascism" and suggested schools should keep students' gender identities secret. Amazing.

She made the comment during yesterday's House debate on a parental rights in education bill. The bill is referred to by Republicans as a "parental bill of rights," and is based on five pillars- parents' right to examine curricula and library books, meet with educators at least twice a year, review school budgets and spending, be notified of violent events in the school, and require elementary and middle schools to get parental consent to change a child's gender, pronouns or name. Which sounds amazing to me. But AOC felt differently.

"To say and speak about government reach and freedom, this Republican bill is asking the government to force the outing of LGBT people before they are ready. [...] When we talk about progressive values, I can talk about what my progressive value is. And that is freedom over fascism."

She of course made these remarks with lots of dramatic arm waving and yelling. To really drive home her anger over *checks notes* allowing parents to parent. By the way, California and New York have already decided to prevent parents from knowing this crucial information about their children. So to all you parents in those states, watch out.

It is quite hilarious that AOC's worldview is so upside-down, she thinks giving parents rights over their own children is fascism. And the real freedom is allowing the state-run indoctrination factories we call public schools to have free rein over America's youngest generations. Hilarious, but also frightening. And it makes perfect sense with her socialist worldview.
