Rep. AOC shows ignorance of both history and economics with claims the American Revolution was about fighting billionaires

Super popular social media influencer Rep. AOC is best known for being a silly girl who creates silly content for her silly Rep. AOC stans. She also has a side hustle as a member of Congress, after the upper-middle-class suburbanite from wealthy Westchester County was cast in the role of a bartender from the Bronx who ran for office. She is still silly while working her side hustle, but the things she says have to be taken somewhat seriously. Maybe 37% seriously. Like when she creates content about billionaires and how much they stink.
But see, it's not enough to just say "billionaires are bad." She has to try to sound smart for her low-information AWFL fanbase, who will believe anything you tell them about people they already don't like and not calm down about it. They also like fantasizing that they are fighting and resisting, as they see in the movies. So when Rep. AOC claims the American Revolution was, like, totally about fighting billionaires or something...
The American Revolution was against the billionaires of their time, and we are declaring independence from such an extreme marriage of wealth and the state.
I mean...

All this time, I thought the American Revolution was about a bunch of slave-owning, aristocratic, white males who didn't want to pay their taxes (name the movie). As it turns out, according to Rep. AOC, they were fighting billionaires. Or, what would have been billionaires if there were billionaires. Even though our Founding Fathers were pretty rich themselves, I guess they are no longer the boogeymen now that the people who fund what Rep. AOC thinks this week concocted another talking point.
Kinda like how the left was all about opposing billionaires AND millionaires. Then a bunch of Democrat elected officials suddenly became multi-millionaires. Now, only billionaires are the root of all evil. But not the billionaires who fund the totally organic "No Kings" rallies. Only the billionaires who have been assertive in society, creating things like jobs and opportunities.
Also, as X-Twitter's Community Notes points out Robert Morris. the "Financier of the Revolution," one of the richest men in America in 1776, poured his personal fortune and shipping fleet into funding the war, even bankrupting himself.
Here's the rub, though. Yes, Rep. AOC is a silly person who is like the Meryl Streep of leftist theater kids who have been cast into roles as candidates for office, like Graham Planter and Justin Peterson. The problem is, as Scott Jennings says, that's just who the entire Democratic Party is now. They will believe anything you tell them if it's crazy and anti-Trump enough.
Scott Jennings says he takes AOC seriously, because Democrats will accept anything if it's radical enough,

Having fun at the expense of social media influencers like Rep. AOC is, sure, fun content. Let's not be surprised when she is a frontrunner when Democrats try to find someone to run for president in 2028. Think Rep. AOC now, but funded by hundred-millionaires who fund the left.
