Justin Timberlake Tweets, Gets Blasted for Cultural Appropriation
SJW Leftists just love bashing Justin Timberlake for "cultural appropriation", but this is ridiculous even by those standards. Also, ridiculous because 99.86% of the time people accuse you of cultural appropriation, it is in fact ridiculous.
So, actor Jesse Williams was given the humanitarian award at the BET Awards. His speech was mostly a shout out to #BlackLivesMatter, but also included things like "This is for the real organizers all over the country, the activist, the civil rights attorneys, the struggling parents, the families, the teachers, the students that are realizing that a system built to divide and impoverish and destroy us cannot stand if we do. It’s kinda basic mathematics: the more we learn about who we are and how we got here the more we will mobilize."
Timberlake tweeted him just to say that he was inspired. You know, nice things...
That was his first mistake...
Then he made the mistake of engaging a troll.
Of course, we've seen this movie before so we know what happens next. The attack.
The attempt at an apology from someone who had no idea what he said wrong.
And...it doesn't matter at this point.
Here's the really ridiculous part; he didn't even say "all lives matter." Had he said that, the outrage would have at least been par for the course, because as silly as it is, "all lives matter" has been equated with hate speech today. It's absurd, but Justin Timberlake didn't even do that. He simply suggested that instead of attacking each other, we should first find common ground and then discuss our disagreements. That used to be called "being an adult."
And that's apparently frowned upon. But hey... racism! Or something. Speaking of "cultural appropriation"... don't miss this week's show.
