If the left is going to demand we affirm the fake truth of trans-identified individuals, can't we at least make an exception for people who attempt to break into the Vice President of the United States home?
William DeFoor has been accused of vandalizing the home of JD Vance with a hammer. He believes that despite these violent acts, he should still be afforded the respect of being called Julia. Unclear if he has heard that a lot of the time, respect is earned, but I digress.
Clearly, they/them has mental health issues. This is also not an assumption; this is what his attorney has informed the court.
According to the National Desk:
Defoor faces state charges including obstruction, criminal trespass and felony vandalism. His attorney said there is no evidence Defoor was targeting the vice president.
"This had nothing to do with the specifics of the vice president as much as it was an expression of someone not in control of his mental health situation," said the attorney. "I just don't think there is anything political going on here, judge, it's purely a mental health issue."
In April 2023, DeFoor was charged with trespassing, but charges were dismissed because the court believed he was too incompetent to stand trial. A similar case occurred the following year, and he was ordered to undergo mental health treatment.
I am not here to tell you that this man is, in fact, so incompetent he should not be able to stand trial. But I am here to tell you that if that is true, and he keeps committing these crimes, that is a sign that he still jeopardizes the safety of the public. If he did, in fact, commit these crimes, and he continues to blame his mental health issues on his decision-making abilities, then authorities ought to conclude that he might need to undergo long-term treatment, right? I am no legal expert, so you are free to draw your own conclusions.
That being said, this man allegedly did what he did. And for that, he should be held accountable to the fullest extent of the law. And surely, we owe it to the Vice President and his family, as well as trans-identified individuals who don’t break the law, to not call they/them “Julia,” but I digress.
