.@POTUS: "The Governor said that? Wow. Does he know what Fort Sumter was or do you think somebody wrote it out for him? No, this is — I was elected on Law and Order. I was elected on a strong border." https://t.co/D6x1PgmTPY pic.twitter.com/wjSaa9zbU5

Fort Sumter was where the opening shots of the Civil War occurred in 1861. The reason this happened was that the Democrats believed in slavery so much that they were willing to split up the country and have Americans die for that cause. So, it’s a bit bizarre why Gov. Tim Walz would compare the two recent ICE shootings to the start of the war, when it’s not even remotely comparable.
This is why President Donald Trump said what needed to be said.
Trump was so flabbergasted as to why Walz would say such a stupid statement, which is why he had to ask, “Does he know what Fort Sumter was?” Walz’s comment was so foolish that Trump is not sure whether it even came from him. Trump added that he was “elected on Law and Order” and “elected on a strong border."
This is why, if anyone is trying to divide the country, it’s the left. What people like Walz refuse to admit is that over half of voters voted for this. So, when you actively encourage people to interfere with lawful ICE operations, and when you blindly defend criminal aliens, and when you slander and attack federal law enforcement officers, you are not doing that in the interest of the American people. If they truly cared about what the people wanted, the left would give it a rest. Rather than do that, though, they have tripled down to the fullest extent possible. That's not defending Democracy, it’s actively campaigning against it.
According to Walz, ICE is “an armed force that’s assaulting, that’s killing his constituents, his citizens.” What’s so deranged about that statement is that it’s a reprehensible lie. ICE is not targeting American citizens. In fact, if left-wing agitators would stop messing with their lawful duties to deport criminal aliens, you could make the argument that none of this mess would have happened.
Deporting foreign nationals has nothing to do with the Civil War, and it’s just another lie so the left can further divide the people. Why people like Walz have such a hard problem with enforcing the law is beyond reason, but at this point, it's safe to assume his reasoning is far more sinister than it is ignorance.
