The other day President Obama and Donald Trump met to do presidential stuff. The press expected to join him, only to be met with "no." Denied. Trump had no interest in packing the media moths into his luggage to take with him. They were a little hurt, clearly...

Like so many presidential election winners before him, Donald Trump traveled to the White House to meet with his predecessor. But something about the trip was different. Trump departed, breaking protocol by not bringing journalists in his motorcade or on his plane to document his historic visit to the White House.

After meeting with Obama and lunching with House Speaker Paul Ryan, Trump ditched the media again.

The transition pool report from Politico's Edward-Isaac Dovere [read]: "[Trump spokeswoman] Hope Hicks has not responded to any additional emails with questions about the president-elect's status, schedule or whereabouts since changing course and saying he was headed back to New York. Thank you all for bearing with my failed attempts to get more out of the transition today."

Trump has offered no assurances that he will be more accommodating...

Journalists are peeved they didn't get their way. Sound familiar? But as WaPo points out, the meeting was still covered because Obama brought his pack of press porklets. You can watch the video here. It's not as if Trump refused to talk with the press and kicked them out on their diapered behinds. He simply refused to cater to their whiny whims.

After the colossal turdstorm that the media kicked up during the election (see Scarborough Berates Media for Shameless Liberal Bias During Election)... I can't say I blame Trump for giving zero craps when it comes to appeasing the press.

One thing sticks out in this story. It isn't the loofah on Trump's head. Journalists wanted Trump to accommodate them by way of travel, schedule, etc. When he flipped them the bird instead, their reaction was to tar and feather him. Rather than realizing maybe they're the problem. After all, most media outlets lost any semblance of credibility when they became Hillary's personal cheer squad.

One can't help but feel a twinge of happiness at the despair of the press. Most of us can agree the mainstream media needs a facelift. Or 20. They clearly aren't in tune with the desires of the American people. And the ones who are tend to have a habit of disappearing (see FASCISM: New Wikileaks Show DNC Tried Silencing Joe Scarborough...). It's a crapshoot. Which is why we're going DAILY!
