Scott Jennings backs the truck over Thomas Massie after Donald Trump made an example of him in the primary

.@ScottJenningsKY doesn’t hold back on Thomas Massie’s way out the door: “Despicable, anti-Semitic, nasty, gutter politics… it needs to be condemned.”
President Trump didn’t just beat Thomas Massie.
He made an example out of him.

It was primary night in Kentucky, and, as shocking as this may sound, Republican voters sided with Donald Trump over someone who opposed the Trump agenda they voted for. There are people who say Thomas Massie got voted out for not kissing Trump's ass after voting with him 77% of the time. Keep in mind, many of those same people support kicking John Fetterman out of his party for not kissing the No Kings Infantata's ass after voting with Democrats 93% of the time. But I digress.
If you believe X-Twitter, the Epstein Class ran opposition to Massie out of Israel, and that was the only reason voters turned on him. If you listen to Scott Jennings, who ackshually lives in Kentucky, voters turned on Massie because Massie turned on the Trump agenda they voted for in 2024. Two key parts of it that Massie not only voted against but virtue-signaled about doing so.
This is one of the most conservative districts in the country. They gave Donald Trump a massive victory in 2024, and they expect a Republican congressman who represents them to be part of the team. The two big issues in the race that were in most of the advertising had to do with tax cuts and immigration. Massie was against Trump on both of his big border security and tax cut bills. [Voters said] we can get a Republican congressman who could be part of the team. That campaign worked.
Yes, as it turns out, voters in Kentucky made the primary about issues that mattered to them. As opposed to the internet, which made the primary about Epstein and Israel. Hence, Massie drawing a lot of X-Twitter support from leftists and foreigners looking to interlope in American politics. Just saying, but if someone draws support from Ro Khana, the Young Turks, and X users based out of South Asia, you might want to look into that candidate's opponents to get your vote.
If nothing else, Massie went out with class. If you remove the "cl."

At the end of the day -- and a lot of this is me biting off of Fox Digital's David Marcus, who makes the most sense to me lately -- voters expect you to be a team player. That doesn't mean agree with them (or Trump) on every issue. But debate, make your case, then move forward. Massie, in the name of "principles," would vote against people with whom he agreed on most things and side with people with whom he agreed on nothing. Then, when people started to turn on him, went all EPSTEIN EPSTEIN EPSTEIN.
Again, that's a popular issue on the internet. Not so much for voters looking to make ends meet.
Also, primaries are a good thing. ESPECIALLY in areas with more conservative options. Susan Collins and Mike Lawler are the best we can do there. In Kentucky, primary voters have more options. Republican voters need to be MORE involved in primaries every two years.
