Woke city council shuts down gunshot detection software, a week after an active shooter, because...well, you know

ShotSpotter is a tech that local police offices will lose to help detect gunshots as soon as they go off. Liberal democrats fight to have the software removed because they say it has adverse effects on black people and illegal immigrants. I'm not sure of the correlation. But in Cambridge, Massachusetts, the council voted to do away with it with a 5-2 vote.
Before you click the video above, you can guess what the activists pushing to do away with help-policing software both look and sound like.
Side note: This vote takes place a week after there was an ACTIVE SHOOTER loss on the streets of Cambridge. One with, of course, a list of priors that was, also of course, given a weak sentence by an activist judge. A local man was monitoring the situation and had this to say.
Ok this may be more insane. Our justice system is broken when a guy like this maniac is freely on the streetshttps://t.co/cy35AGmmdw https://t.co/RXpG4RuC9O pic.twitter.com/scWu2g0zD8

Again this guy served 3 years in jail for attempted murder of a cop. The guy who stole Beyonce’s unreleased album got 2 years.
The judge who suddenly can’t remember the case should be held accountable for the decision and for lying. https://t.co/RQhK1iMC4K

It wasn't just leftist freaks (aka "moderate" Democrats) who spoke. Police Commissioner Pauline Wells attempted to make the case for keeping the software because of how effectively it helps keep Cambridge residents safe.
In the past two weeks, officers took three more illegally possessed loaded firearms... from convicted felons. We've been lucky, but lucky is not a strategy. ShotSpotter detected gunfire at least 11 times with no 911 call. We cannot ignore this. It is our obligation to keep our community safe. Why wouldn't we want to keep gunshot detection technology after an active shooter event?
🚨 After the Bullets, Cambridge Turns Off the Alarm
Last night, Cambridge City Council voted to end its use of ShotSpotter, even after Police Commissioner Pauline Wells practically begged them not to shut it off.
This comes after one of the city’s most brazen recent shootings,… pic.twitter.com/ipp14gz84h

That's a good question. A rational person would agree with the police commissioner and think gunshot detection software is a good thing, ESPECIALLY so soon after an active shooter situation.
Yet five of seven council members sided with the irrational arguments presented and voted to make law-abiding Cambridge residents less safe.
In fairness, it's Cambridge. This is what these people voted for, and continue to vote for. It just seems silly to those of us who live in normal parts of America.
