Kamala Harris let her real cray-cray fly during her CNN Town Hall (see VIDEO: Kamala Harris Says Second Amendment Rights Have No Place in Society and Dear Kamala Harris, You Anti-Gun, Opportunistic, Hypocritical Skank...). Leading the list was calling for a complete government takeover of healthcare.

But so swift was the backlash, she's now already backtracking.

As the furor grew, a Harris adviser on Tuesday signaled that the candidate would also be open to the more moderate health reform plans, which would preserve the industry, being floated by other congressional Democrats. It represents a compromise position that risks angering "Medicare-for-all" proponents, who view eliminating private health insurance as key to enacting their comprehensive reform.

If we were to look behind the scenes at Harris' advisers, we'd probably find a lot of this:

"SHHHHUT UPPPP! Kamala, don't SAY you want to take over healthcare! Did you take no notes during Obama's splendid campaigning on the very same subject?"

Calling for the federal government to eliminate a private industry isn't as popular outside of Park Slope and San Francisco as Harris and other leftists think. It'd be like management insisting on a feminist slam poetry reading during the Super Bowl halftime. Even if you think it's a good idea (ahem, no), you hide it. There is a reason why Obama lied about keeping your insurance and doctor if you liked your insurance and doctor.

But all the backtracking in the world isn't going to change that we know what Kamala really wants, and what her plans would really be if elected president. Absolute control of your life.
