I will bet you all the money in my pocket that Yahoo News only interviewed Assad to get him to bash President Trump. I doubt they were expecting Assad would make these statements about refugees being terrorists. Plot twist for them.
I mean, if we’re going to keep busting the narrative (see New Poll Shows Americans… Trust Trump More Than Media and Majority of Americans APPROVE Trump’s ‘Travel Ban’), why even have a narrative?
Assad said President Trump’s freeze on admitting refugees from his country — part of an executive order that has drawn widespread protests and is being challenged in federal court — “is an American issue” on which he would not take sides. But asked if some of those who fled are “aligned with terrorists,” Assad quickly replied, “Definitely.”
“You can find it on the Net,” Assad went on: “Those terrorists in Syria, holding the machine gun or killing people, they [appear as] peaceful refugees in Europe or in the West.” He said he couldn’t estimate how many there might be, but he added that “you don’t need a significant number to commit atrocities.” He noted that the 9/11 attacks were pulled off by fewer than 20 terrorists “out of maybe millions of immigrants in the United States. So it’s not about the number, it’s about the quality, it’s about the intentions.”
I see. So, instead of bashing Trump for being mean to Assad’s people, Assad says that Trump has a point?
It’s almost as if the President of Syria read the “travel ban” that wasn’t a ban before commenting on it, and THOUGHT before speaking. The President of FREAKING SYRIA takes American security more seriously than the left.
Let that simmer…
That’s long enough. So Syria’s president admits terrorists sneak in with plenty of legit refugees, only to kill innocent people. Weird. It almost seems as if “innocent” refugees, most of whom appear to be military aged single men, act as a perfect cover for terrorist infiltration. They claim to be “refugees” because every dingleberry with a social media account can’t wait to vomit their virtue signaling cares out for the world to see. One cause du jour is refugees and “WE SHOULD TAKE THEM ALL IN, BECAUSE WE HAVE FEELINGS, OMG!” thereby putting pressure on those meaniepants Republicans who are all “Maybe we should, like, vet people entering our country first.”
But, as is typical with the left, feelings and cares first, critical thinking is hate speech. How dare you.
I wonder how far the “I cared about refugees” awareness ribbon Facebook avatar will fly next time there’s a terrorist attack which might have been preventable if that “refugee” hadn’t been allowed into America. Any takers?
