As a general rule, when your enemy tries to bait you into reacting a certain way, the smartest thing for you to do is not respond in the way they want you to. The Trump Admin is taking that tactic in dealing with the usual mockery Republicans face from places like SNL, and the left can't deal.

The cold open with Tina Fey and Amy Poehler is your typical SNL laziness. The "comedy" "writers" see what BlueSky and Reddit won't calm down about, copy a few lines, and high-five each other because they're really sticking it to those MAGAts! Whether or not SNL's dwindling audience entertains the niche group of Americans the "comedy" is made for matters less than the bad people getting triggered by it.

The best thing to do is laugh it off. Because nothing triggers leftists more than when we don't get triggered by what they're trying to trigger us with. Or, even worse, if we laugh and enjoy ourselves.

You see the same with South Park and dinkuses like Harry Sisson ranting, "Don't you know that South Park is making fun of you?"

Yes, because I've been alive for thirty years and know what South Park is. It's also Donald Trump setting traps in the White House so that Satan has a miscarriage, only the traps keep getting set off by FCC Chairman Brendan Carr... all to the dismay of JD "Tattoo" Vance's master plan. It's so ridiculous, they could be making fun of your mother, and the only reaction is to laugh at it.

It's like what that legendary pioneer in political consulting, the great Jebidiah Carville, said was his cardinal rule of politics: "I 'm rubber and you're glue."

You know what the cold open of SNL is going to be every week. Hell, we could probably write the sketch for them, mocking ourselves, and do a better job. But if they're going to keep dropping lazy "comedy," we're going to keep spinning it into entertaining content.
