Aging popstar Sheryl Crow can't stop, won't stop virtue signalling over "selling" her Tesla (and a detail we missed in February)
Sheryl Crow wants you to know she is still not sorry fro selling her Tesla to resist Uncle Trump and Cousin Elon. She is double not sorry she did so in a deceptive video, just to make sure her virtue was signaled that much more brightly.
Crow dropped her debut album, the Tuesday Night Music Club, sometime in the 90s... which, in fairness, was solid. Then, in the 2000s, she did a duet with Kid Rock. I'm sure there were other songs between then and 2025, just nothing that stands out. Now she has a career speaking out on politics, as she did in February when she "sold" her Tesla.
See, once Cousin Elon started cutting government bloat, Crow "sold" her Tesla just so she could donate the money to NPR, part of the bloat Musk was looking to cut.

Here's the thing. This video allegedly took place in February, but do you notice the fall foliage on the trees? Well, I didn't until Whiskey Riff pointed it out yesterday. Side note: shouts to Riff, which is responsible for 69% of the new music I discover.
Crow had actually sold her Tesla months before, while the People Who Controlled Joe Biden were still in office, and sat on the content until the appropriate time for maximum sanctimony. Her excuse? Waiting for the receipt to come back from NPR, which it did... right after CousinElon called for their funding to be cut.
For those of you who were on the hate side of things, yeah, there were some leaves on the trees because, yes, I did donate my Tesla right after the election. But this is the week that I got the confirmation back that the money went to NPR – which is something that I care about.
The reason this came up again is because she interviewed with Variety, which asked her if she had the opportunity, would she signal her virtue about an inanimate object all over again.
I can’t help it. I feel like I’m fighting for my kids. Also, that’s the way I was raised. There have been times when it hasn’t really been fun, but I follow my Atticus Finch dad; I’m very similar to him if I see something that seems unfair, you know?
Atticus Finch defends someone against false allegations in court. Sheryl Crow defends NPR receiving taxpayer funding to create content attacking half of the taxpayers whose funding they receive. The two things are totally the same.
