Shaquille O'Neal to Anti-Donald Trump Protesters: Time To Move On
If you're wondering what Shaq's been up to lately, rest assured that he's doing good things. When he's not busy being a basketball legend, he serves as a Florida Police reserve officer. He's an all around badass. It seems like many athletes have been focused on anti-American protests, especially with the recent election... But Shaquille Dunk Master O'Neal? Not impressed...
Shaquille O'Neal says Donald Trump won the election "fair and square," and rather than call for recounts, voters should give the president-elect a chance.
"We have a process that's been going on forever," the NBA Hall of Famer told ITK... "And whoever wins, you just hope he does what he says he's going to do. You know, candidate Trump promised a lot of people a lot of things.
Now that he's president-elect, you just hope that he can make the world a better place. He won fair and square. We have to give him a chance. There's no need talking about recounts and that."
Whether or not your views line up with Shaq on all things political, his level headedness here can be appreciated. It's not often that we see athletes making political statements we can get behind. But when they do, you can be sure to expect heaps of leftist outrage (see Michael Jordan Donates $1 Mil to Support Police... BlackLivesMatter RAGE!).
But really, how much longer until leftist ninnies wipe their tears and get over it? Time to put on your big kid Huggies and move on, dudes. There's only so many cop cars to smash and dumpsters to burn.
Shaq's basketball reign is over, sure. But retired Shaq found a way to remain relevant and impressive. Though to be fair, with a neck that thick, being impressive comes easy. Even though he's no longer the center for the Magic, he's still the center of our hearts...
