In the Progressive pursuit of equity, you cannot have gifted and talented students. Progressive ideology never breeds excellence. Because when you have kids who are under par, everyone must be equally substandard, at best. The strongest proponents for this are almost always composed of unexceptional merit. And when you break people down into racial identity groups on top of all that, you get this story.

Seattle decided to close its Highly Capable Cohort (HHC) schools for gifted students by the start of the 2027 school year because it had too many students who were white and Asian. And since Progressives are mentally incompetent, they don’t have the capability of lifting up more students who can excel in the program and the best they can do is treat every kid as if they are run-of-the-mill.

Parents are now speaking out over it because of how painfully stupid and cruel it is to do this.

Parents in Seattle, Washington, expressed their anger over the city's decision to close its Highly Capable Cohort (HHC) schools for gifted students by the end of the 2027-2028 school year because it has too many white and Asian students.

According to FOX 13, 11 schools in total were scheduled to be closed and will start to be phased out in the fall. The district says on its website that the decision was made to address "historical inequity," because some races are underrepresented in them.

In a new video debating the closures in 2020, obtained by the Daily Mail, a black woman leader in tech and mom, Sara Jones said, "I am proud of the exemplary education I received through the HCC model."

"I would not be where I am today without it," she added.

"It breaks my heart that little boys and girls like I was, whose brains work differently may not get the opportunity to learn in an environment that's right for them, and will help realize their brilliance," Jones said with tears in her eyes.

Rather than do more to help "underrepresented" races excel and receive "exemplary education" progressives have crushed any chance of that. Not only is that wrong but it is painfully naive and bigoted, as school officials are showing the world that they believe black students are not capable of academic excellence. Which is not only a reprehensible view, but it’s inaccurate.

Rather than teaching all students that they are capable of great things, they have told everyone that they are subpar and capable of doing nothing but the bare minimum.

You would think that common sense would prevail, as it is so painfully obvious that reducing standards does nothing to help anyone, but the left lacks in that department. And sometimes it seems as if the more blatant something is, the more asinine the policies get.

School officials responsible for closing these schools have shown the world how bigoted, racist, and lazy they are.

These people have no business being in charge of education, considering they have made it clear they are not interested in actually educating. It even seems as if they have sought out these positions to destroy schooling and it’s baffling that they felt so emboldened to do so.
