Today the Supreme Court of the United States, in addition to handing a narrow victory to pro-life, crisis pregnancy centers, narrowly upheld Trump’s so called “travel ban” from mostly shithole countries. Twitter, the internet’s version of public bathroom stalls, reacted as it usually does: with stupidity, rage, and completely missing the obvious points. We’ll loop back around to summarize the dumb after these messages:
The Supreme Court of the United States just upheld Donald Trump's discriminatory ban of Muslims from the United States.
The reason this happened was that Republicans in the Senate stole a Supreme Court seat from Barack Obama, refusing to even consider his nominees

Judd’s message is important and will come back at the end. He’s referring to Mitch McConnell not allowing outgoing President Obama to nominate a Supreme Court Justice in the final months of his lame duck presidency. Hardly setting a precedent, may I add. Bookmark this one.
Common theme alert: conflating Islam with race.
The Muslim Ban decision puts the rights of all Americans at risk. This is just one fight in a broader battle against Trump’s anti-Muslim agenda. We are ready for the next round and have only begun to fight! Come to the Supreme Court at 11:45am to declare we will not be banned. pic.twitter.com/FOd9NsAFfC

The Muslim ban puts the rights of ALL AMERICANS AT RISK. How, exactly? Any guesses? I’m drawing blanks here.
Standing united with our Muslim sisters and brothers today and every day. This decision will be remembered as yet another deep stain on our country.
A nation led by cowardice and xenophobia can never aspire to be great. #NoMuslimBanEver

Islam is not a race. Nor is it a nationality. Noticing the trend?
Trump's Muslim ban and his "zero tolerance" border policy are, at their core, bigotry and xenophobia masquerading as sound national security policy. They play to Trump's political base, but leave Americans less safe and our values in the dust.

Islam isn’t a nationality. You can’t claim it’s a “Muslim ban” then also say “this is racism and xenophobia.” Shouldn’t be hard.
The Supreme Court has just upheld Trump’s Muslim Ban – basically citing that he has the power to do such a thing.
This never had anything to do with American safety. It was/is all about bigotry and Islamophobia.
Shame on Trump and shame on this nation.

Our favorite faux black man weighs in. Also, Islam isn’t a race. Also, Islamophobia is a perfectly reasonable phobia. We wrote about that already. Read Bill Maher Nails Islamophobia: “It’s not a phobia when it’s real!” and Dear PC Leftists: Actually, ‘Islamophobia’ is an Entirely Logical Phobia.
Sitting in my daughter’s high school graduation in tears. I have to tell my daughter who has been asking me for updates that #SCOTUS upheld the Muslim and Refugee Ban. That they decided on the side of xenophobia and racism. Devastated. #StandWithMuslims #NoMuslimBanEver

For the last time: ISLAM IS NOT A NATIONALITY OR A RACE! It’s a political and religious ideology which runs counter to many of the values of America’s representative constitutional republic.
Also, North Korea and Venezuela were included in the “travel ban.” They’re not Islamic nations. They’re just shitty nations. America doesn’t have to just accept anyone from any country for any reason becuase FEELINGS.
Now for this:

A direct troll of those idiots whining about Mitch McConnel not allowing Barry Obama to get a last minute SCOTUS pick as he was packing his bags at La Casa Blanca. Well played, Mitch. Well played.
