According to Secretary of State Marco Rubio, “Mass migration is a national security threat to any country that experiences it.” This is an understatement.

Rubio testified on foreign policy and claimed mass migration was a national security threat to any country that experiences it, as well as the transit country. This is because not only does it threaten public safety for places like the United States, but it also fuels human trafficking. This is precisely why open borders are so evil, as it enables some of the worst crimes in existence to take place.

“Mass migration is also not good for the migrant, because they are abused along the way,” Rubio said. “Today we do not have a mass migration event, and every country along that route in Central America is grateful for it.”

The fact that the left continues to fight for open borders is naive and sinister in nature. If you don't have borders, you don't have a country. This should not be controversial. Yet it enrages the left so badly that they are blind to the evils their policies fuel.

When you don't have a mass migration problem, you decrease the number of human trafficking victims. This should be more than enough justification for the left to reject open borders. The problem with this is that not only are they easily manipulated by the powers that be, but they resort to feelings rather than reality. This is why many of them have zero clue about the effect of the policies they so blindly support.

How many more Americans need to be harmed before the left realizes they are jeopardizing the lives of innocent people? How many more people have to be sex trafficked before these fools understand they are fueling some of the worst human rights abuses in history? And how many more Americans need to overdose before these open border proponents realize they are contributing to the fentanyl epidemic? To condone any of that, you either have to be objectively naive or an evil person -- there is no in-between.

Maybe one day the left will get a clue, but until then do not expect anything more than asinine slogans on no human being illegal on stolen land. But what else is new?
