Watch: The Pope goes woke (again) with his defense of Islam

Pope Leo said that anti-Islamic rhetoric in Europe is xenophobic, and his solution is to open the border. Today’s show breaks down how the Pope has gone woke.
“He is buying the language of the left,” Crowder said. “The left uses languages like homophobia, transphobia, and xenophobia. They just put it out there so that they can stigmatize it. I don’t like this idea that all phobias are irrational.”
According to the Times of Israel:
Leo says anti-Muslim sentiment is “oftentimes generated by people who are against immigration and trying to keep out people who may be from another country, another religion, another race.”
He says his visit to Lebanon is intended to show “that dialogue and friendship between Muslims and Christians is possible.”
“Fear in itself is not a bad thing; it is not an evil thing. It is a preservation mechanism,” Crowder said. “Is the fear warranted? Is it a valid fear? Are people afraid of these migrants because of what they bring with them? Is it irrational to fear huge swaths of immigrants who all follow the same ideology that tells us they have to force us to convert?”
Leo says stories he heard during the trip of Christians and Muslims helping each other were “lessons… that we should perhaps be a little less fearful.”
“How do you work together with people who say the minute we attain power, we are going to forcibly subjugate you and ensure that you are not free to practice religion?” Crowder said.
He has been critical of growing nationalist sentiment in Europe and the United States and has called for an end to the “inhuman treatment” of migrants under US President Donald Trump.
He has also exhorted followers to reject an “exclusionary mindset” that he said had led to nationalism around the world.
Leo has said the Catholic Church “must open the borders between peoples and break down the barriers between class and race.”
“This Pope, I guess, has no understanding of history,” Crowder said. “He does not understand the world at all.”
