Country superstar Parker McCollum comes out HARD in support of freedom, gun rights
Anyone who knows me knows I have three loves in life: my nieces and nephew, pro wrestling, and country music. It's a love of music in general, but I've gone hard on a Texas country kick as of late. So it was delightful to wake up this morning and read one of my favorite artists, Parker McCollum, is based as f*ck.
McCollum sat down with NRA Country to discuss his love of hunting. And this response to a question about what freedom and the second amendment mean to him is awesome.
Freedom to me is the ability to think and decide for yourself, to live the kind of life you want to live. And I think it’s so important at the very start of this country they put that amendment into place to allow citizens to protect themselves from a tyrannical government. I know it seems old-school like that was a long time ago, but with the crazy world we are living in today, it seems more relevant and necessary than ever.
Hell yeah, brother!
Because it’s the middle of the week and we can all use an unreleased Parker McCollum cut on our lunch break… pic.twitter.com/Ph0PlTi9nZ

True, it's less risky for country artists to come out in support of things like freedom and gun rights. The country music fanbase is known for still believing in things like, you know, America. But it's not like the corporate woke entertainment side of things hasn't crept into the industry as of late. McCollum is one of the top stars on the rise. Even sitting down with the NRA is nice to see.
McCollum will be hitting the road as part of Morgan Wallen's 2023 stadium tour. I'm sure there will be plenty of hunting and new music before then.
