Democrat official demands local police OBSTRUCT ICE operations, tip illegals off before they get deported
The only problem with warning illegal immigrants that ICE is on the way to detain them is that it runs into this little thing called “obstruction of justice.” And clearly, the people of Los Angeles aren’t being governed by the brightest bunch. That’s why the police chief had to inform one naive council member that you actually can’t stop ICE operations, as doing so could be a violation of federal law.
Tell me you're a naive buffoon without telling me you're a naive buffoon. Imelda Padilla would like to go first.

I don’t have to tell you how stupid she sounds — but if this were a contest, she’d finish first without breaking a sweat.
According to the Los Angeles Times:
“You’re asking me to warn you about an enforcement action being taken by another agency before it happens? We can’t do that,” McDonnell responded, noting that such a warning would amount to obstruction of justice. “That would be completely inappropriate and illegal,” he said.
City Council President Marqueece Harris-Dawson said he disagreed with the chief on referring to agencies such as U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement as “law enforcement partners.”
“If we know somebody is coming here to do warrant-less abductions of the residents of this city, those are not our partners,” he said. “I don’t care what badge they have on or whose orders they’re under. They’re not our partners.”
LOL. “Warrantless abductions” is total nonsense and a pathetic excuse to demand the chief engage in obstruction of justice. Nonetheless, sending people back home does not fall under the definition of “kidnapping,” and someone should really inform the council of that.
I also don’t have to tell you how painfully outrageous it is when leftists like Padilla use the term “immigrant community” interchangeably when talking about illegal immigration. She knows she’s talking about illegal immigrants — as proven by the fact that simply not breaking the law doesn’t get you detained or deported. But that’s not who she’s talking about, and she knows it. Still, she’ll throw in asinine talking points about fake “due process” to try to prove a point — yet she still manages to fail miserably.
Thus, in her pathetic pursuit to make sure “no human is illegal,” she shamelessly asked the police chief to commit obstruction of justice. And being that objectively stupid should disqualify her from ever holding public office again — but clearly, Angelenos aren’t electing their best.
