Cop threatens Christian preacher for "offensive" speech outside of a Pride event...in America

This is America. In America, you have this little thing called “rights.” Some of those rights include Freedom of Speech, Freedom of Religion, and Freedom of Expression. Some may argue those three things are the most important rights this country has enshrined in its Constitution. Nonetheless, when police officers start dictating what you can or cannot say, especially when it comes to religious freedom, you have, in fact, experienced tyranny.
A female Texas police officer threatened to ticket a Christian street preacher after she claimed: “If someone is offended by your talking, then we have a problem.” It was unclear if this officer understood her job is to enforce the law, not trump on the rights of law-abiding Americans, but that is neither here nor there. She has already proven she will subjectively trash Americans' rights solely because they are politically correct, and for that, she does not deserve to be in uniform.

You have to be objectively stupid to believe what this officer said.
Per the Christian Post:
The city of Fort Worth and the Fort Worth Police Department launched a review of the incident captured on video at the Trinity Pride Fest in downtown Fort Worth on June 27. The now-viral video showed an unidentified female police officer threatening to arrest two members of a street preaching team during the public event.
According to the video, police blocked Rich Penkoski and David Grisham from accessing the sidewalk upon their arrival at the event.
While this might be unsurprising for this to occur in the U.K., this is, again, America. Officers were never given the authority to dictate what form of expression is acceptable and what is not. That is not their job, and the sooner she realizes that, the better off everyone will be.
As the street preaching group continued to question police about the warning while they were moved to an area outside police barricades, an unidentified female officer is heard saying, “If someone is offended by your talking, then we have a problem. ... If they are offended by your speech, OK, I will write you a ticket, and we’ll go from there.”
You do not have to be a legal expert to understand that offensive speech is conditionally protected. And what about the people offended by her speech? I am offended that the officer threatened a preacher all under the guise of fake LGBT compassion. By her logic, she should be ticketed for "unreasonable noise.”
Grisham was ultimately issued a citation for “unreasonable noise,” but no further explanation was provided. The city of Fort Worth website states that its “unreasonable noise” ordinance is “intended to apply to, but is not limited to” noise linked to animals or construction work.
That tells you all you need to know. To call this unacceptable and a slap in the face to Americans' constitutional protections would be an understatement. What a disgrace.
