One would think there would come a time when CNN grew tired of being a failure of an institution in the eyes of the American people and sucking at life. That day is not today, as they recently "fact" "checked" RFK Jr's cooking show to see if you could really cook a meal as cheaply as he says. SPOILER: They didn't check facts as much as they nitpicked over rhetoric, argued semantics, and did both in bad faith.

We hear at the Louder with Crowder Dot Com website recognize cooking for yourself instead of DoorDashing a $20 burrito is a controversial topic, both for the left and the Marxist/Horseshoe/Woke Right. Advising people to take better control of their finances and health is viewed as a lack of empathy for the middle class when you could be blaming Trump and/or Israel instead. Yet, our Health and Human Services Secretary thought a video series encouraging Americans to affordably eat healthier anyway.

CNN's "fact" "check" depends on semantics, or being anti-semantic like this Tom Foreman fella. On the one hand, when calculating the cost of a meal, you could use basic math that has been used on every cooking show or cooking segment in the history of both. You assume pantry staples and only calculate the cost per ingredient, with the assumption that the ingredients could be used to make other meals.

Tom Foreman "fact" "checked" RFK Jr's meal as if it was your first day on the planet, you have never cooked before, have never heard of a refrigerator, don't know how a kitchen functions, and are just discovering what a Whole Foods was.

RFK Jr was less than amused.

Our goal is simple: help Americans reclaim their kitchens, cook healthy food without breaking the bank, and stock their pantries with high-quality ingredients they can use again and again.

RFK Jr's problem is that he is attempting to make America healthy again while working for the Trump Administration. We can't have nice things as long as those nice things are under the Trump umbrella. CNN won't allow it.

And yet, the next time there is a poll or a study that lists journalism as the least trusted institution in America, everyone will sit around the table hosted by Erin Burnett or Abby Phillip, and not understand why that is.

Scott Jennings and Shermichael Singleton might have a few ideas. They'll be shouted down as CNN goes to commercial, though.
