Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez Worries Authoritarianism is a Growing Force in America
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez got herself into a bit of a pickle with her claims of the migrant caravan resembling Jews escaping the Holocaust. Even Lindsey Graham 2.0 gave Ms. Ornithology-Cowbell some flak, recommending she take a break from picking the taxpayers' pockets and visit the Holocaust Museum.
This prompted Alex to once again remind us all how she knows not what she talks about:
Rep.-elect Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) fired back Monday evening at Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) in a war of words over immigration.
Ocasio-Cortez was responding to a tweet from Graham telling her to “take a tour of the Holocaust Museum” after she compared Central American migrants to Jewish families fleeing Nazi Germany. “This administration has jailed children and violated human rights. Perhaps we should stop pretending that authoritarianism + violence is a historical event instead of a growing force," she tweeted. Earlier Monday, Graham tore into Ocasio-Cortez for comparing Central American migrants seeking asylum at the U.S.-Mexico border to Jews fleeing the Holocaust.

Now, pump the brakes for a second here. Nobody said authoritarianism and violence weren't a problem at present. After all, they're pretty much the defining traits of the left.
I'm not saying the left wants to put their dissenters in death camps. At least not yet, anyway. My point is, if there is a rising authoritarian movement in the U-S-of-A, it's on the side with one hand grabbing everyone's wallets and the other removing the plastic straws from our cups.
Think about Antifa is cracking open some poor bastard's cranium. Comrade Bernie declaring we have too many deodorant options. The modern left wants to force their will upon us all. Telling us how many greenbacks we're allowed to have and how we're permitted to spend them. That's the essence of authoritarianism.
There's nothing violent or authoritarian about protecting our borders from foreign invaders. In fact, it's one of the few legitimate purposes of our government and its "chambers." Which is what makes Cortez's remarks all the more ironic. The big government statist is trying to lecture us on the dangers of authoritarianism. Please.
