Call this video a Halloween prank. Call it a social experiment. Call it a cruel trick on sugar-fueled children, the message is clear. Taxes. So easy, even a kid can figure it out. So what happens when we use Halloween candy as a chance to teach kids about taxes? Do they go nuts (and try to kick me in the nuts) when we progressively "redistribute" their candy in order to promote "fairness"? Now to answer your subsequent questions, YES I felt bad while doing this video. But YES, we told the kids about the prank afterward and YES we gave them all of their candy back and then some.

I was also particularly surprised as to how cooperative the parents were. When made aware of the social experiment, many saw it as a chance to teach their children about the ideas of "fairness" and "equality" vs. hard work and earnings. So that was nice to see.

What wasn't so nice? Little five year old Captain America kicking me in the nuts. The things I do for you people...
