New York Governor admits she's taxing residents to drive just to stick it to Donald Trump

New York is one of the most expensive states to live in the country. The government does not seem to care that its policies continue to wreak havoc on the finances of New Yorkers. This is why New York Governor Kathy Hochul sees no problem in charging New Yorkers to go about their daily commute. In fact, she bragged about this so-called "congestion pricing” as a form of protest to the Trump Administration.

"We will continue to stand up to the Trump administration and say that ain’t going anywhere Mr. President. We are keeping our congestion pricing because there are 27 million fewer cars on our roads!”
In other words, it is not about doing what is best for the people of New York. It is not about making life better or more affordable for Americans. Nope. None of that matters because in her sole pursuit of going after the Trump Administration, anything he deems asinine will be tripled down on, all in the sole pursuit of hating Trump. To call this a slap in the face for Americans struggling to make ends meet would be an understatement.
It is unclear if she realizes that 3,578,899 residents voted for Trump and that her job is to represent those people too, but I digress. The problem here is that she thinks it puts her on the “right side of history” to make life more expensive for residents, and that should be fully condemned.
The fact that she bragged about 27 million fewer cars on the road is not the flex she thinks it is. What she has done is make life more mildly complicated for that many commute attempts. Applauding that simply because Trump hates it will not make life better for the people she is supposed to represent. What a disgrace these people are.
