Watch: X's New Location Update Just Exposed Entire Platform As A Psyop

X has introduced a country-of-origin feature, confirming what you already suspected, which is that foreign accounts are trying to disrupt things in America. It might be time to tidy up your follows. Today’s show breaks it down.
“Social media has become the public square for political discourse in the United States,” Crowder said.
According to the BBC:
Social media and video networks have become the main source of news in the US, overtaking traditional TV channels and news websites, research suggests.
More than half (54%) of people get news from networks like Facebook, X and YouTube - overtaking TV (50%) and news sites and apps (48%), according to the Reuters Institute.
“Places like X shape not only opinions but, in many ways, shape elections here in the United States,” Crowder said. “When it used to be a physical town square, most of the people in that town were American. We have taken this for granted, assuming that a lot of the people weighing in on issues that affect Americans should really be Americans. Now, these spaces could be littered with foreigners.”
According to NBC:
A new feature on X has stirred confusion, anger and a wave of online sleuthing after users discovered that the platform was suddenly displaying the surprising locations where certain accounts are based.
Over the weekend, users noticed that clicking on an account’s join date now opens a tab that shows the country or region in which the account is located.
"It showed us that a lot of accounts were pretending, or larping, as citizens of the United States, even though they may have never been here and have no connection to this country. When it relates to the United States, that’s a big problem," Crowder said. "This is not good. It’s not good when you realize a lot of the dialogue is being led by people who really should play no role in shaping American policy."
It’s crucial that you know who you can trust, because many of these accounts focus on sharing very short clips, making people believe their side won debates, and presenting things grossly out of context.
“Dialogue isn’t what it used to be,” Crowder said. “People now just get their news on social media. They will discuss something that was put forward three weeks ago and has been thoroughly debunked, but they are following people like this. They create their own echo chambers, and it’s not good.”
